Autumn Treat Bag

Autumn_treat_bag-1

This cute little treat bag is 4″ tall and perfect for putting at your place setting at Thanksgiving. You could even tuck a little card into it with some special thoughts about the person you are giving it to.
The bag is from Kraft card stock and I used the Jar of Love stamp set to stamp the jar and lid and I cut out the jar with the small jar framelit and also cut out the lid. Just below the lid I made a bow with the 1/4″ copper trim. Don’t you love this? I have bought so many spools of this ribbon. I cut the sunflower from the Painted Autumn designer series paper and I cut the Copper Foil sheet with the leaf punch. For the treat I used the 3″ x 6″ gusseted treat bags and tied it with the old olive 3/8″ mini chevron ribbon. These are cute and quick to make. I hope you give it a try!

Be sure to stock up on your designer series paper before the sale ends on October 31st.

Thanks for stopping by!

Details:

Cut the Kraft card stock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″

Score on the long side at 1 1/2″, 4″, 5 1/2″ and 8″

Score the short side at 1 1/2″

Stamp the largest jar from Jar of Love stamp set in Early Espresso.  Stamp the jar lid on a scrap of Kraft card stock.  Cut the center of the jar out using the Everyday Framelits and cut out the lid.

Burnish all score marks and cut up to the 1 1/2″ score line to make the tabs and flaps for your bag. Miter the tabs and then adhere tear & tape, or some other strong adhesive (fast fuse, multipurpose Tombow adhesive) along the tab and form your bag.

Adhere your jar lid with Stampin’ Dimensionals and add the copper bow with a glue dot.

Stamp the sentiment from the Painted Harvest stamp set in Garden Green onto a 1″ by 3 1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla card stock and adhere to the bag.

Cut your sunflower out of a scrap of the Painted Autumns Designer Series Paper.  Adhere the leaf you punched out of the copper foil to the back of the flower with a glue dot.

Fill your cellophane bag with your treat of choice and then finish the bag off with a bow in old olive.

This bag is inspired by one designed by Jari Francis.
