I am looking forward to making this card with my class on Saturday. We are going to use the Painted with Love Suite to make 2 standard size cards, and we will also use the coordinating Framelits to make a cute gift box and decorate 3 of the new narrow note cards to go inside. Fun!
For this card I started with Melon Mambo card stock and then I put a piece of watercolor paper on top that had a watercolor wash in Powder Pink on it. I love the effect of the textured paper and the extra depth of color that you can get with a quick wash of the aqua painter and your favorite color. I cut out the hearts with the coordinating framelits. This set has 4 different sizes and different shaped hearts. I used the gold foil paper for another heart and for an accent behind the hearts. I trimmed it with the triple banner punch. For the sentiment, I stamped Versamark ink on a scrap of Melon Mambo card stock and then added white embossing powder. Did you notice the fun trim behind the hearts? This is the Love mini tinsel trim combo pack. It comes with gold and powder pink trim. These add a really fun element to any project.
